|
No 680 Squadron carried out operations over North Africa equipped with Spitfires. On 17 February 1944, 680 Sqn received first nine Mosquito PR.XVIs at Cairo. These operations were extended to Sicily and Sardinia after moving to Tunisia. It also operated detachments in Libya and Cyprus to photograph Greece and Crete. 680 Sqn continued to operate in the Mediterranean area until the end of the war. |
